The technologies available are vast and ever developing, the title: Student Collaboration: Wikis, Blogs and Forums in Higher Education conveys the investigation of Wikis, Blogs and Forums as the key technologies. People enrol in higher education to learn, the aim of Student Collaboration within Higher Education is to enable 'collaborative learning'; active learning where participants work together using a variety of different models to help themselves learn and each other learn.' The initial research question asks if these technologies increase social integration into university life whilst enhancing student learning outcomes by increasing motivation and engagement in the tasks at hand? Enhancing is a key word, although courses can be run online, this study is to find a tool to enhance lecture and workshop learning outcomes . It is to be chosen and tested with respect to the users of the computer science module 'CP2117:Creative Digital Media'.
