Request SentiStrength

Please follow the instructions 1 and 2 to download 2 files on this page and then assess whether the third file is needed.

1. Right-click and select Save As to download the September 21, 2011 configuration files to your computer and then unzip them to the folder c:\SentStrength_Data\. If you can't unzip them to this folder, unzip to another folder but use Register New Location in the File menu to point SentiStrength to the new location as soon as it has loaded. The configuration files include word lists mostly derived from LIWC and this data is also provided for non-commercial use only and must not be redistributed.
• NOTE: If you want to replicate the 2010 paper results, then please use this file instead of the one above: old July 15, 2010 configuration files.
2. Right-click and select Save As to download SentiStrength 2.3 (June 7, 2017) and save it to your computer. Once it is saved, double-click to start it. It is certified safe by Softpedia.
3. If SentiStrength gives an error message when starting that is NOT about the location of the data files, please download and install the "Microsoft .NET Framework Redistributable Package" (dot net Framework 4) and then run SentiStrength again.

SentiStrength is a Windows program but works with Crossover on a Mac, Linux and Android).
