Ubuntu has moved on to use the Unity desktop.
I find this difficult to get to grips with and find loaded programs etc...
Also.
Distributions, such as CAELinux offer STech students the ability to work with opensource technical software -- and thence get skills they can take with them and use on their own machines.
Perhaps it would be interesting to have some opensource SIGs -- and where would it be supported?
