Registering for an account
Before you can start using Oracle you need to register for an account.
The registration program can be found here:
https://mi-linux.wlv.ac.uk/~oracle/reg/orareg.php
Login with your University username and password. You will be presented with a list of modules to pick from.
Ensure you pick the correct module; otherwise you may not get access to all the resources required for your module.
Your username/password will appear on the screen and will be emailed to you if you have a University account.
Please keep the email for future reference.
Should you forget your password details, or lock your account because you have forgotten your password, then re-run the program as above and it will reset your password back to the original value.
Please note: Oracle passwords are now CASE SENSTIVE! Hint: the initial password begins with a capital letter.
Next - Login to Oracle
The next stage is to login using SQL*Plus
